Hieronymous Poshe vs Adam (Oh my Goth! vs Hazbin Hotel)

“Do for this life as though you live forever, do for the afterlife as though you die tomorrow”

-Ali ibn Abi Talib

Hieronymous Poshe, The undead ghoul (And musician) from a skeletal race

VS

Adam,The first man (And musician) and head of the exterminations

Before we begin…

Oh my Goth! is a mostly contained series with certain characters appearing in other media (Adventure Quest Worlds, Deady the Evil Teddy, and the Deady Flash game) which, thankfully Poshe doesn’t actually appear in, but those series will be taken into account to prove consistency of feats or tech if needed. Also we’ll refer to some of Voltaire’s music (Mainly the Oh my Goth! Song he made and “The U.S.S make shit up”) occasionally. It’s not important but it helps a tiny bit.

For Adam it’s fairly straightforward. Feats from the show, pilot, comic and stuff from the QnA Vivzie did about the lore.

Background

Hieronymous Poshe

“For millions of years, I have lived among these PUNY humans and tolerated their idiosyncrasies. I’ve tried to make peace with them, HELL! I’ve even SAVED their world once or twice. WELL NO MORE!.”

Hieronymous Poshe hails from the planet Necronus (Or the Cemetery planet of the living dead as it’s also called) and served the evil empire, ruled by Lord Krom Wrath. He’s millions of years old at minimum, though his true age is unknown. Long ago he was sent to the planet Earth to turn it into the Necronus parking lot in the Milky Way sector of the universe. However he instead tried to make peace with humanity and appeal to his people that humanity should be spared, promising to find one redeeming thing about them.

Unfortunately all his attempts at a peaceful commune result in violence, and the creation of some mythology (Like people calling him Nosferatu and staking his heart). That was until he traveled to Hell itself (Moreso he wanted to travel to the place in which humans feared most) and stumbled upon goth culture and finally saw people he thought he could relate with, even found a woman he loved (Though it’s very much one sided). Though during his trip to Hell he somehow ended up not only becoming a musician, but hated by all of Hell as well for “spreading merriment”. On top of that his millions of years of making Lord Krom Wrath wait made him give up and sentence Poshe to spend the rest of his eternal life at a boring desk job or death (Effectively making not only all of Hell, but his own race seek his destruction in the same day).

However, after some episodic adventures involving time travel, dragon con, a…. Halloween mishap, a botched vacation, and destroying the evil empire with help, it ultimately didn’t matter as, in the end Poshe himself was the one to destroy humanity after finally being fed up with them (Also for petty reasons because he is not a good person).

Adam

"No! You don't get to end this! I'm fucking Adam! I'm THE fucking man, and you're just some fuckin' clown or something! I started everything on Earth! All of mankind came from these fucking nuts! You all should be worshiping me! You ungrateful, disgusting, fucking, LOSERS!"

Angels, wonderful beings, beautiful in their own weird way, the ones that created the first humans, Adam and Lilith... But the story gets torn apart. After Adam and Lilith were created by the dust of Earth, Adam was a bit of a douchebag with Lilith, wanting to control her, though she would leave him and go with Lucifer Morningstar and Adam would obtain Eve. After Adam became an angel he went to tell the high Seraphim Sera a wonderful idea to clean the overpopulation of hell (and to have some fun), an extermination day. After a while of thinking the idea, Sera would accept but with one rule, only her, Adam and the extermination army could know about it. After this, Adam would just enjoy his time, doing the exterminations, calling one of the top exterminators Vaggie, making deals with his ex-wife, you know, the usual. They sadly had to leave Vaggie since she forgave a kid demon, but he didn't have much problems against it. This was going pretty well... Until the daughter of Lucifer, Charlie Morningstar, appeared in the Heaven Embassy with a proposal... Redeeming demons... However, Adam found this stupid and mocked it, warning Charlie that the extermination day would be early and then kicking her out. Days later a court will happened, and even if Adam was going to lose, he managed to play dirty and reveal to Charlie the truth about Vaggie, and at the end, he wins the court, and just the next day was extermination day, oh fuck-.

That day, the hotel and the extermination army brawl in a tiny war. Adam had a bit of annoyance with Alastor but was able to take him down. After this, he was about to end Charlie... Until Lucifer came to rescue. Both will fight, Adam losing the fight. He had anger, hatred, he was clearly going to take revenge... Buuut Nifty stabbed him in the back, many times. The first man was finally dead, though Lute is probably going to take revenge, and to be honest, Adam made more damage than good in his life, he got it coming.

Abilities

Hieronymous Poshe

Necrus Physiology

Being a Necrus, Poshe is naturally undead (also worded as being “Deader than dead”) and naturally immortal (He specifically has types 1,2,3, and 7), Necrus bones are also infused with their skills (Making them resistant to at least a very niche type of mental manipulation) are also capable of regeneration, vague adaptability (whether it’s minor or extremely potent isn’t known), and can survive harsh temperatures and the vacuum of space making them an incredibly hard to kill adversary.

Pentagram Creation

Poshe has the ability to make a pentagram out of almost any object he can get his hands on. Said pentagrams allow him to teleport wherever (The biggest example being in and out of Hell which give him a form of resurrection).

Immersion

Poshe can enter other fictitious material like comics he’s reading (As seen above).

4th Wall Awareness

Poshe has shown in multiple cases that he is very aware of, not only the fact he isn’t real, but he even knows about his irl book sales and everything. Hell he’s made jokes about how he saved someone months of animation time (Which is a reference to the movie that was going to be stop motion that ended up being canceled by the creator).

Time Travel

While Poshe used to need his temporal teleportation device for time travel he “learned” how to time travel naturally by clicking his boots together three times and saying “There's no place like the lugubrious quagmire of self pity and utter confusion" (Though he NEVER says it ever when doing the trick for some reason, it still needs to be pointed out how it’s STATED to work).

Inhuman Ingenuity

Poshe is capable of building or repairing seemingly anything by making stuff up on the fly about what he’s doing like saying he made a temporal teleportation device out of a dreidel by stating he made it out of a rare crystal. Or repairing his Anthropormorphosizer (As seen above) by making up words on the fly and pulling a lever (Comparable a gag ability).

Resurrection

True to the nature of Oh my Goth! Death has little meaning, and characters who die seem to just come back in later stories (Which, AS EPISODIC AS IT IS, these events would have still had to have happened. Heck Angel died, went to Heaven, and then got kicked out of Heaven, sending her back to the mortal world in the same story. Same with Poshe’s personal demon who disintegrated and came back in practically two pages).

Hammerspace

Poshe is capable of pulling things out of seemingly nowhere (As seen above).

Non Physical Interaction

Poshe and other characters can interact with Spooky, who is a ghost.

Plot Manipulation

There are 3 (Possibly 4) instances of plot manipulation and Poshe is the reason for one of those cases (The other two he was aware of or was unaffected by), when he himself changed the scene to a massive parade celebrating someone he was trying to show was still appreciated, which was used similarly to how Ray Harryhausen used it, implying it could be used offensively

Adam

Flight

Adam is able to fly thanks to his wings but he is also able to fly without them.

Limited 4th Wall Awareness

Adam is able to make a joke at the audience’s expense (not me though, I’m beautiful). However he only does this once.

Portals

Adam can create portals that can suck people into hell with just a snap of his fingers (seen above). High ranking demons like Stolas are also able to create portals anywhere, taking them to hell, the real world, and even space.

Heavenly Light

Adam is able to shoot lasers (Yes, the most original power in the world). This can vary in sizes but has shown to destroy everything that comes in contact with, including Alastor's cane, Sir Pentious' airship, including the ones that were in the ship, and was able to destroy the middle section of the Hazbin Hotel. This is a very versatile ability that can also summon angel constructs, summon weapons and enhance his punches.

Broadway Force

So Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss characters have this weird ability to warp reality when they sing. Yeah. We see that some of the events in the songs actually take place in the real world, such as when Charlie’s plans were cut by Lute’s sword (seen above). So while these may just seem like visuals, they’re legit happening. Adam, while singing, managed to change the colors of his surroundings, summon a giant pot full of dead demons, create illusions of heaven and make a bloody pit for Charlie to climb out of.

Other characters have shown to do the following while singing:

  • Clone themselves

  • Shrink people and themselves.

  • Summon random things

  • Teleport

  • Create explosions

  • Turn people into food

  • Change outfits, locations and color schemes

Regeneration

Sinners have shown the ability to regenerate from conventional damage. This is because they are human souls and not flesh and blood creatures. We see instances of this in how Sir Pentious survives being blown up and how Velvette mentions one of her models being able to "put themselves back together" after being torn apart by Valentino. Sinners are also able to inhabit inanimate objects once their physical body is destroyed (being why furniture has bodily features). Adam should have access to these abilities despite being an angel, since angels and sinners should be pretty much the same thing (see before the verdict).

Arsenal

Hieronymous Poshe

The Gothilizer

The Gothilizer is a ship mounted (Though it’s been broken off and used just as effectively) gun that turns whatever hit with it “gothic” which can do anything from turn Teletubby merch into sentient ax wielding black and white monsters, turn Godzilla into a stereotype goth (Which is to say becoming an unmotivated wimp), etc. (It borderlines on reality warping). It also has a “kill” switch which just makes it a certified gun that renders people into smoldering ash. It is also powered by krylon black paint for whatever reason.

The Temporal Teleportation Device

Effectively a time machine he made from a dreidel with his inhuman ingenuity mentioned in abilities. Spinning the dreidel will allow him to. Well. Time travel. He can also take anybody nearby with him through time.

Teleportation Technology

Poshe has various teleportation technology. Whether it be built into the Black Spire or just teleporting around the place like other Necrus have shown. He can teleport himself or others anywhere really (Lord Krom Wrath himself has teleported from Necronus to Lore which is likely in another galaxy so the range potential for said teleportation is HUGE). Though the tech itself is vague and never 100% explained.

The Anthropomorphosizer

A device we never actually see but it allows Poshe to shapeshift, which is why 90% of the time he looks human. It also is actual shape shifting and not just a disguise. It even manifests clothes.

The Black Spire

The Black Spire is Poshe’s spaceship and base. It looks like a large gothic church (Though Poshe states that “actually churches look like spaceships”). It functions as his main hub to teleport in and out of, is equipped with artillery (Including the gothilizer mentioned above), deflector dishes, Graviton particle beams, shields, and teleportation devices.

Curved Scimitar

Your basic curved scimitar.

Rayguns

Your fairly standard blasters that range in actual destructive properties. From blasting you into little gory pieces, to rendering you to ash, or a skeleton in a near instant. They also have a “fate worse than death” setting which is very vague.

Lightsaber

It’s your standard laser sword

Holy-Water Gun

Possibly given to him by priests from his war with the alliance of his race and all of Hell, holy water is capable of near instantly dissolving demons on contact.

Holograms

The Necrus have hologram technology. Though it’s mostly portrayed in Poshe’s case to be via a little box projecting the hologram. These holograms can be used to project people or objects of interest, communicate with others, or watch TV because why not. Also the boxes can be controlled via remote control (As seen above).

Dragon Con Costume

Basically just various things he took and slapped together. Gene Simmons boots (Which have ridiculously large spikes), a bunch of metal plates with spikes, a metal helmet that looks like a jaw with sharp teeth and horns, and a crotch pad with needles poking out. Even though it’s a costume it should at least provide minor protection.

Serrated Shoes

Poshe’s shoes are serrated and very sharp.

Universal Translator

The universal translator is capable of translating any language and can even translate lies into truths (As seen above).

Sonic Cattle Prod

Something mentioned in the song that he has that basically does what a cattle prod does which is to say it’ll zap the shit out of you.

Adam

Guitar Ax

Adam is able to summon his guitar which is a holy weapon made of angelic steel. He can use this weapon as a normal ax, but can infuse it with holy light to do other attacks such as growing the ax, slashing others with holy energy, and creating shockwaves

Exterminator Armor

Adam wears this armor not only when going to exterminations but also during his day to day life. This armor covers Adam’s body and provides him with extra protection during combat.

Hologram

Adam is able to create a hologram of himself to go to meetings without leaving his home (relatable). People aren’t able to physically interact with these holograms, however, the holograms are able to touch people if they want to.

Drone

The Executioners possess drones that allow them to survey the area.

Stats

Hieronymous Poshe

Feats

  • Started most mythologies (and potentially religions. Like even theoretically christianity which is weird when Heaven and Hell canonically exist) and stuff like the creation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Nosferatu, and Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein by complete accident

  • Spread mirth in a goth club (Making even Beelzebub want him dead)

  • Turned Godzilla goth because he wanted to

  • Stopped the Necrus and Hell alliance from destroying the Earth (With help)

  • Withstood every torture (And executions like the guillotine somehow when those didn’t exist back then) of the medieval times with no effort

  • Survived Ray Harryhausen’s stop motion narrative

Attack Potency

Speed

Durability

Resistances

Adam

Durability

Resistances

  • Dicks: Can take any dick since he’s the dickmaster (what do you mean that’s not what he meant?)

  • Aging: Sinners and Angels are immune to aging

Acquaintances

Hieronymous Poshe

Sinestro

Sinestro is Poshe’s robot servant he built as a butler. Despite this Sinestro is still a large robot, looking like a gorilla with a tv head and serrated shoes. Sinestro also has an alarm built into him that detects Necrus ships entering the milky way. Poshe also has no qualms destroying and building a new Sinestro.

Spooky

The ghost of a tombstone (Yes, really), Spooky, is usually on almost every page of Oh my Goth! Like a living speech bubble in the comic (But is a genuine presence in the book, being interacted with, and communicating with the characters). Spooky is also responsible for another of the three (possibly 4) cases of plot manipulation (Specifically making a happy ending into a “just a dream” plot twist).

Angel

Angel is someone that seems to only BEGRUDGINGLY hang around Poshe. She has two tricks Poshe lacks. The Necrocomiccon (A book she used to summon an army of various characters referencing existing properties), and the Jedi mind trick (Yes, really).

Adam

Lute

Adam’s right hand woman and fellow Exorcist, seemingly good fighting skills given she was able to almost beat Vaggie in a fight, can fly and proficient with swords and spears, tough enough to rip off her own arm and still keep fighting. Though, she has similar weaknesses as the other exorcists.

Exorcists

The exterminators of demons. These are the soldiers that go to the extermination day to kill demons, these are commanded by Adam and usually follow his orders without a complaint. They can fly and have angelic armor and spears, they also have shown to be stronger than most sinners in hell. Though they have some similar weaknesses as Adam, they usually don’t defend themselves, which could end up getting them killed fairly easily. They also seem to be slightly weaker than the Overlords.

Scaling

Hieronymous Poshe

Lord Krom Wrath

Lord Krom Wrath is the iron fist ruler of the Nerosian race and, despite his status, all the named Necrus have shown they should at least somewhat scale to one another (Also if Lord Krom Wrath WAS stronger he wouldn’t have needed to make an alliance with Hell on top of his invasion force to defeat Poshe).

Adam

Sinners and Imps

The sinners, the main reason for the redemption program and the main hunting prey for the exterminators. These sinners have some unique abilities or experience, Angel Dust can grow more arms, Sir Pentious has experience in wars, etc. But to be honest, they don’t add much to the scaling, they are weaker than Adam and in general aren’t much different unlike higher tiers.

Feats performed by sinners include:

High Tier Demons

The high tiers demons, oh yeah, this is good stuff. Now, what does Adam scale exactly? Adam has shown to be stronger than Alastor in terms of power, even if in technique he was lacking. Alastor is one of the strongest overlords, debatably at the same level as Vox which is town level. The Ars Goetia and 7 deadly sins are more debatable, since they haven’t interacted and there is a whole mess with the hierarchy.

Feats include:

Charlie Morningstar

The main question, can Adam scale to the highest tiers? It’s debatable. On one hand, yes, he was able to overpower Charlie and his big laser is strong… On the other hand… Charlie clearly held back. Charlie isn’t a fighter and her personality can still make her vulnerable in a fight, this is probably what happened with her fight with Adam (either way, Charlie hasn’t shown her true power for now, so we can’t exactly do a scaling).

  • Toppled over crosses with a kick

  • Trained with Vaggie to kill angels

  • Fought on par with Adam

Lucifer (debatable)

For the ones who know, Adam and Lucifer fought in the last episode of the series, so Adam should scale to Lucifer, right? Well, it’s debatable. While it’s true that they fought, Lucifer had the upper hand almost all of the time and didn’t get a single hit. Lucifer also wasn’t taking it seriously, the moment the king of hell got serious he ended up beating up Adam. There’s also the hierarchy that shows that Lucifer is higher than Adam, making him stronger for obvious reasons.

Though, that doesn’t necessarily mean Adam can’t scale. After Adam attempted to sneak attack the father and daughter duo, Lucifer became bloodlusted and tried to beat Adam to death. Adam managed to resist Lucifer’s punches for a while before Charlie stopped her (though it might have killed him). This means that while Lucifer is stronger than Adam, Adam should still downscale from them.

  • Should upscale from everyone in the verse

  • He and the rest of the angels helped create the Earth and Hell

    • Not applicable since we don’t have a timeframe

Experience/Skill/IQ/Other

Hieronymous Poshe

Hieronymous Poshe is millions of years old, possibly even older, to the point of being way older than humankind and its previous evolutions, and he is no novice in combat. He’s studied and read up on mankind's biggest wars and acts of violence and can fight against multiple Necrosian warriors in a space battle mostly on his own. He’s also surprisingly smart, despite having mostly gag related ingenuity skills it is portrayed as though he is a highly intelligent inventor, and he’s even formulated unorthodox solutions in short and dier time frames.

Adam

Adam has been leading the exterminations for countless years, but his experience is still sloppy. The demons never bothered fighting against the exorcists so Adam wouldn’t really be used to fighting anyone.

Weaknesses

Hieronymous Poshe

Despite his accomplishments, despite his impressive feats and intelligence, Poshe has a few notable weaknesses. Despite his species' unkillability, they have shown susceptibility to mind control, and soul destruction could probably get around their hard to kill nature entirely. Also  Poshe is naive at times and is…. A sexual deviant meaning he can be easily charmed. Also just uttering the Devil’s name will allow his personal demons to start turning cogs in his brain (As seen above). Also the classic ego and vanity (He loves his appearance to the point he prefers his human appearance).

Adam

Ironically, Adam’s strength is his greatest weakness. Adam is so overconfident in himself that he’s very cocky and his fighting skills aren’t the best. In fact, Alastor notes how Adam lacks discipline, control and is an overall sloppy fighter. In fact, most of Adam’s victories are reliant on his overwhelming power when compared to the sinners. In fact, Carmilla says that due to exorcists being used to not being in danger, they often don’t defend themselves while attacking. Also angelic weapons are able to kill angels, the only thing that could kill angels actually.

Before WE Decide…

Should Poshe have Powers Demonstrated by other Necrus?

Necrus are very, well….. Varying. Some are flying skulls, some are pickles (Yes one necrus is a literal pickle), some are primordial lava giants. Hell Urkor Malravenus was able to possess things and fly without wings. While I don’t think Poshe should have lava manipulation, or any of those weirder powers, You could make a decent argument for Possession and potentially flight (Urkor Malravenus is a giant skull with a LOT of tentacles but he doesn’t distinctly have anything biologically different from Poshe or Lord Krom Wrath.) However it’s also understandable if you don’t think he should have comparable powers to Urkor Malravenus. That being said, it's ultimately 50/50. You can believe it or not hence why it’s here and not in abilities.

Adventure Quest Worlds Scaling?

Adventure Quest Worlds is an old flash MMO RPG that Voltaire (Oh my Goth! creator) input his characters into, making it a weird sort of canon. AQW was used to solidify existing stuff in Oh my Goth! But actually using the scaling is…. Weird to give Poshe since it’d just be a HUGE scaling chain (He himself doesn’t even show up in Oh my Goth! Lord Krom Wrath and the Necrus species does) which is why it was excluded. If you were mildly curious, in the case you want to give it to him (And to emphasize how drastically different his stats would be) he’d be MASSIVELY downscaling the Hero of Lore via Lord Krom Wrath and various servants OF Lord Krom Wrath.

The left out Necrosian Machines Poshe MIGHT be able to use Indirectly…

I left out some Necrosian technology because I don’t buy him having this tech on his person. But he should be at least aware of this tech and potentially able to utilize it with his teleportation. I’m mainly referring to the cloning machines. The cloning machines are machines built into Necrosian war ships (Which the black spire COULD be. But it’s not confirmed and is a weird case in general) that well… Clone things. Just one machine was used to create a world conquering necrosian bunny army (Since the machine warps non-Necrus clones into a Necrus version of what was cloned).

What’s the Deal with Angelic Weapons?

There is a very common debate when it comes to Hazbin in versus, that being “are angelic weapons durability negating”, I believe they aren’t. Angelic weapons are in Hazbin, the only thing capable of killing angels and demons but they aren’t the only thing capable of hurting angels, as seen with Vaggie’s origin, her fight with Lute and Adam’s reaction to sir Pentious attack, angels can be harmed by attacks that aren’t angelic, but they can only die from them. This implies that angels work similarly to demons and they just regenerate upon death, this means it’s more likely that angelic weapons just remove regeneration rather than negate durability.

Should Adam have the Same Powers as Sinners?

For this blog we will be assuming that demons and angels in Hazbin have similar physiology, there is no evidence to really assume otherwise and based on them only being killed via angelic weapons just like demons, they should be able to do things that demons can do inherently, like regenerate and possess things post death… or double death…

Is Solar System and FTL Hazbin Legitimate?

Okay strap in because this gets wild. In one of the songs in Helluva Boss, Stolas seemingly travels to space and drags several planets into a star before exploding said star. This is a very impressive feat that would buff the high tiers of Hazbin Hotel from Star to even Solar System level and their speed to FTL. The question is, is this legit? Well in our opinion, no.

This song, called “You will be okay”Is deeply strange in context. Stolas in this scene is singing his daughter a lullaby, before he enters a portal and is surrounded by planets that just start blowing up. We think this feat is valid as it’s unlikely the whole thing is an illusion. We see Stolas make a portal to enter the solar system and a portal to leave it and it doesn’t make sense to create a portal to an illusion, you know? And we also see that Stolas did move the planets and cause the star to explode as the color outlines used to represent Stolas’ power are visible on them. This would mean that Stolas would indeed get to around Star Level to Solar System level in strength. As for the FTL feats for Stolas, they don’t make sense. While Stolas does go from outside the star to the edge of the solar system, we never see him fly away from it. And given how he’s able to create portals and high tier demons like him can teleport, it’s likely that’s what he did. So would Adam be able to scale? Yes. Charlie is higher on the hierarchy than the Ars Goetia and Adam could match her and even almost beat her in combat. And the scaling is made more evident in how Adam was able to survive a bloodlusted Lucifer giving him the most bloodlusted beatdown ever, meaning that Adam should scale somewhat to the top tiers of the verse.

Verdicts

『 Hater of nice things 』

Well I wasn’t expecting this. This ended up being a lot weirder, and a lot closer than I ever expected it to be. Adam should be mostly unphased by most of Poshe’s arsenal and should be physically superior by a massive margin. But Poshe’s time travel, and equally large speed advantage, partnered with his capability to think up solutions on the fly (And I guess overall being smarter), his chances to act on what little win cons he has overall edge out over Adam’s chances.

Crimgon

Hello everyone, it’s me Crimgon. In case you don’t know who I am, I don’t blame you. I’m most notable for making the Woody.EXE vs Cursed Woody blog so it would be sweet to finally work on a more serious blog.

Anyways, let’s get started on this doozy of a debate. Starting with strength and dura, Adam holds a clear advantage. Adam is capable of scaling to Stolas, meaning he can get from around Star Level to even Solar System level. This utterly dwarfs Poshe’s beast feats which are him scaling to Lord Krom Wrath surviving Earth exploding. As for speed, Poshe is way faster no matter what. He can reach up to a million times FTL while at best, Adam can maybe reach 15x FTL. So overall, Adam is way stronger and durable while Poshe is just way faster.

How do their abilities clash? Well Poshe has quite the impressive list of abilities. He has plot manipulation, regeneration, inability to age, time travel, resurrection, immersion, and pentagram creation. However, none of these can grant Poshe the win really. Adam’s heavenly light is able to destroy the soul directly and negate regeneration, so Poshe’s forms of immortality and resurrection would be canceled out immediately. Immersion and pentagram creation also aren’t really offensive or defensive abilities so they would be pretty much useless in a fight. Poshe also never used plot manipulation offensively in a fight so you can’t rely on that allowing him to win anyways. To assume that Poshe can will himself to win via plot manipulation is a NLF that shouldn’t be accepted in my humble opinion. Honestly none of Poshe’s abilities work on Adam which is astounding. Meanwhile, Adam can shut down Poshe’s best advantages, summon his weapons, cover the arena with heavenly light so Poshe can’t avoid it and also summon angel constructs to fight Poshe. Coupled with how Adam’s physiology is really important as him being immune to conventional attacks would make it so that none of Poshe’s attacks can hurt him. Adam also has a way to circumvent the speed difference thanks to his reality warping. When Hazbin Hotel characters sing, they are able to warp reality and turn people into inanimate objects. This would be able to affect Poshe and he legit has no defense against this. This would allow Adam to kill Poshe with his heavenly light as Poshe would then have no way to avoid it or defend himself. But can Adam sing while fighting? Yes. In “Happy Day in Hell”, we see normal sinners sing while going about their day to day life, actions including fighting each other, so Adam should be able to sing while in a fight. So overall, Adam has the better abilities since he can get past all of Poshe’s defenses, the speed gap and resist the majority of Poshe’s attacks.

What about their arsenal? This is where Poshe starts getting his advantages. Adam doesn’t have much in regards to an arsenal. He has a hologram that allows him to interact without being hurt, exterminator armor which is stated to not be strong, a drone that can easily be destroyed and his guitar ax. Only two of those things are actually useful. What about Poshe, what does he have? He has two time travel machines, a teleporter, a gun that lets him shapeshift, a spaceship, holy water, lightsabers, rayguns, etc… But here’s the thing, practically none of them can affect Adam. Since they aren’t weapons that target the soul, they actually can’t hurt Adam. But what about the holy water, well those are shown working on demons because they are unholy, since Adam is an angel it’s unlikely that would work. Both Adam and Poshe have ways to BFR each other but it wouldn’t be effective at all. Poshe can teleport Adam to a different galaxy, but Adam could just teleport back to where they were fighting with his portals. Adam could send Poshe to heaven or hell, but Poshe could use his pentagrams to go back to hell or the normal world. Adam’s hologram is also useful since it would allow Adam to attack Poshe from a safe area without Poshe ever being able to interact with him. Luckily for Poshe, he could use his time travel to travel to an extermination where he would definitely know Adam would physically be in hell to fight.

Speaking of time travel, it would seem like a victory for Poshe right? No, weirdly Adam’s the one character that won’t be effective towards. Poshe can’t kill Adam in the past before he becomes an angel because … that would make him an angel. And Poshe can’t bfr Adam in the past because Adam is immortal, he’ll literally be able to wait around and prepare to attack Poshe until Adam reaches the same time Poshe sent him back to the past. Also Poshe has to be traveling through time with Adam in order to BFR him so it’s not that effective, especially since the swirl they travel through is really small, making it easy for Adam to use an AOE attack and just kill Poshe there and then. Assuming Poshe does manage to use the dreidel on Adam without going with him, Adam now has a time machine and can come back so that was pointless (and also would make Adam deadlier).

When comparing their tertiary factors, yeah it’s no competition. Adam is outright stated to be a sloppy fighter and Carmilla also mentions how executioners aren’t used to defending themselves. Poshe on the other hand has been around for as long as Adam but actually has combat experience, real combat experience against people who could actually hurt him. Poshe is also a genius so he would be able to form strategies quicker than Adam. Also Poshe could use the time travel to effectively buy himself time to give himself prep time. So no matter what, Poshe is way more intelligent, skilled, experienced and would actually be able to give himself prep time if he needed it.

So given all these advantages, does Adam win? No. There’s one weapon I didn’t dwell on too much, the Gothilizer. This gun allows Poshe to rewrite someone’s personality, making them unwilling to fight. And given how the gun was made to shoot down spaceships that can fly through space at MFTL speeds, it would be able to hit Adam before he could react. This would allow Poshe to rewrite Adam’s personality and make him potentially unwilling to fight. Now here’s the real debate, would this count as a win? Because technically both parties are alive and agreeing to stop their fight, and Adam isn’t exactly being mind controlled here, he still has his free will. Well since Poshe is the one who initiated the effect and the effect does technically get applied against Adam’s will, it counts as a win for Poshe (I’m 50/40 on it though). So overall, while Adam was way stronger and more durable, Poshe’s insane speed allowed him to use his hax to end the fight instantly without any resistance. This mu was way closer than I initially thought it was but in the end, I believe the winner is Poshe.

G-Toasty

(I have too many things/characters associated with me so I just compiled them in this image)

This honestly seems obvious. Poshe’s time travel ability already gives him an insane edge, allowing him to effectively reverse anything by going back in time, but he also should completely speedblitz. Stolas flying through the solar system is impressive, but Poshe and others he scales to being able to pilot ships that cross galactic distances is more than enough to be completely out of Adam’s league. In order for Poshe to even be capable of piloting the ship, he’d need to have comparable speeds in reactions anyway, since at those speeds, hitting even tiny specks is enough to completely annihilate his vehicle. And at FTL speeds, you’re moving faster than the light goes to your eyes, so Poshe would be seeing a lot of light at once, likely blinding him if he were to be that fast without FTL reactions bare minimum.

As for win conditions, Poshe has plenty. Poshe is no stranger to changing the present by time traveling, and he can simply go back in time to before Adam was created and convince God or whoever else somehow to not make him. He can also teleport or time travel to steal Angelic Weapons somewhere, and steal them to use them for himself.

Remember that Poshe is an actual genius, so he should come up with these wincons rather easily, especially since he’s well… smarter than me. But if all breaks loose and he needs to win with only his own equipment, Poshe can simply use the Gothilizer to turn Adam into a wimpy goth who only wants to play Magic the Gathering. Given this worked on a rampaging Godzilla, it would also nullify Adam’s want to fight, and thus count as a win through Mind Manipulation, and net Poshe the win.

Freddy999M

Hello again readers! Freddy here. Are you ready to see how another Hazbin Hotel character gets sto- what?... It’s debatable this time?... Oh okay, anyways!

Stats

This is interesting, as a direct comparison, it’s clear that Poshe showed more and should have better stats. He was able to explode a planet which is better than anything Adam showed, and he just destroys Adam in speed. But luckily for the dickmaster, he has the luck of having a solar system scaling which it’s way better than anything Poshe has shown to do, though he still stomps in speed. The main problem is, how would they go through each other’s immortalities? Both can just keep coming back… Unless…

Abilities and Arsenal

Now we are getting to the good stuff. As I said before, both have some sort of immortality, both are able to resurrect from death and it’s clear neither want to die, now with that out of the way, it’s clear who has an advantage. Adam has pretty strong weapons and powers, the armor can protect him for a while, the ax is a good weapon, his comically big lasers are pretty good, etc. His best ability is clearly reality warping, in which he can just sing and turn Poshe into food (though he might not be fast enough to do it). This is good, but Poshe still has a bigger advantage.

His weapons are way better, the Gothilizer can just turn Adam into a goth and end the fight, basically, he has enough weapons to beat Adam. You now may ask, but shouldn’t Adam be able to break them? Well, yeah… But it wouldn’t matter, since Poshe can just repair them in a moment or just grab another stuff with the hammerspace. Or what the heck, he can just time travel and make sure Adam doesn’t turn into an angel, or kill him right there, easy peace.

Iq and Skill

Poshe wins quite easily, Adam relies on his mere power and has no skills… Yeah this one was easy, Poshe is just really good at fighting compared to Adam, next!

Other stuff

I’ll go into a quick rundown about some stuff before finishing. The acquaintances won’t matter that much, and while Adam has a bigger army, it’s clear that Poshe’s acquaintances are a bit better, and well, it’ll end up in Adam and Poshe fighting again, so it wouldn’t matter. And it’s clear that the one more doomed in terms of weaknesses is Adam. Poshe can just create something that negates regeneration and end Adam there, sure, Adam can try and distract him, but Poshe’s teletransportation  and the fact that Adam isn’t much of skill won’t help. Poshe has worse weaknesses, like being weaker to mind control and soul destruction can go through his regeneration, and well, saying the Devil’s name will make his personal demons annoy him. Even with that, it’s clear that Adam’s weaknesses are more exploitable, and he also can’t resist soul attacks

Conclusion

Adam has some advantages, like strength, durability and army. But at the end, Poshe’s arsenal and speed blitzed Adam back to heaven, better start praying Adam, because Poshe is going to make you see the light!. The winner is Hieronymous Poshe.

Thawne

Overall think Poshe wins, better speed and abilities+More clear cut scaling though Adam only realistically needs a few hits to take poshe down

Squid

Damn, it’s me again! Back on my second Hazbin Hotel blog for some reason…

Anywhom, this is actually a really interesting debate. Shockingly, Adam takes strength by quite a large margin but is massively slower.

I think the biggest struggle either are going to have is actually killing the other, Poshe isn’t gonna be able to kill Adam by just beating his ass whereas Adam could, but would struggle because he’s so much slower.

I think both have ways around this however, Poshe’s plot hax could mean that he could just trap Adam in another place that way, or Adam’s reality warping could allow him to turn Poshe into something that can’t move so he can hit him.

I think I’ll probably side with Poshe, his way of winning seems more like something he’d actually do compared to the reality warping which is not really used in combat.

Bored Seba

Hey everyone, it's me, Sebastian here. I'm here to tell you who I think wins between Poshe and Adam.

Adam seems like the better fighter, and he does have ways to put Poshe down, but Poshe does have advantages like speed. The only problem is that Adam has ways to counter this speed difference, so is Poshe screwed? No he isn't. While Adam does have ways to counter some of Poshe attacks, Poshe just has way more things he can do against Adam. That's not to mention the Gothilizer, which could rewrite Adam, and it doesn't help that Poshe has more experience.

Adam's biggest weakness is his arrogance. While yes, he is a good fighter in a way, this big weakness allows Poshe to capitalize on the situation, and with his plot manipulation (which is arguable) he can make it harder for Adam, which is most likely gonna give Poshe enough time to hit that final blow. Despite of Adam abilities, Poshe has the counters and abilities he needs to take the W, the winner is Poshe

Conclusion

Hieronymous Poshe

Advantages:

  • Way faster

  • Gothilizer can affect Adam

  • Arguably can offensively use his plot manipulation

  • More skilled, experienced and intelligent

  • Could eventually figure out Adam’s weakness to Angelic Weapons

  • Voltaire

Equivalents:

= BFR is useless against their opponent

    = Banger Songs

Disadvantages:

  • Way weaker

  • Can’t kill Adam using the majority of his weapons or abilities

  • Can’t harm Adam’s hologram

  • Time Travel isn’t an effective wincon with Adam

Adam

Advantages:

  • Way more durable and way stronger as well

  • Is immune to the vast majority of Poshe’s attacks and arsenal

  • AOE attacks could catch Poshe off guard

  • Reality Warping can turn Poshe into objects, regardless of speed advantage

  • Poshe can’t destroy the hologram Adam and can’t get to heaven to confront Adam himself

  • Adam has multiple ways to take advantage of Poshe’s time travel

  • Alex Brightman

Equivalents:

= BFR is useless against their opponent

    = Banger Songs

Disadvantages:

  • Way slower

  • Way less skilled

  • No defense against the Gothilizer

  • Could arguably have no defense to plot manipulation

  • Is the embodiment of “If Vivziepop wrote” memes
